Marriage Ministry

The Bible clearly outlines God’s plan for marriage. As a church, Overcomers City Church believes it is crucial to equip couples with the knowledge and tools to cultivate a Christ-centered marriage. Our Christ-Centered Marriage Group is committed to achieving this goal by focusing on four main objectives: building a foundation of marriage teaching from the Bible, raising a Christ-centered family, fostering a culture of love and respect within marriages, and building a community of support for couples in pursuit of Jesus.

Ephesians 5:22-33 emphasizes the importance of a Christ-centered marriage, where husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and wives are called to respect their husbands. This mutual love and respect are the foundation of a healthy and thriving marriage. Our Christ-Centered Marriage Group seeks to build on this foundation by teaching couples how to apply biblical principles in their everyday lives, including communicating effectively, resolving conflicts, and prioritizing their relationship with God.

Furthermore, our ministry is committed to helping couples raise Christ-centered families where children are nurtured in a loving, supportive, and nurturing environment. Christ-Centered Marriage Group includes teaching parents how to model the love and grace of Christ to their children, as well as providing resources and support for parents in the unique challenges they face. Ultimately, our Christ-Centered Marriage Group seeks to create a community of couples committed to pursuing Jesus and building a thriving, Christ-centered marriage.
